Carl Black Kennesaw: Financial Violence Exposed Against Blacks

The Intersection of Race, Corporate Power, and Law Enforcement in Case #26-01870

When we ask the question, "Do Black lives really matter?" the conversation often centers—rightfully so—on physical violence and police brutality. We think of the tragic, split-second escalations that result in the loss of Black life or decades behind bars, as seen in the recent heartbreak surrounding 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony.

But systemic racism is not always loud. It does not always wear a badge and carry a weapon. Sometimes, it wears a tailored suit. Sometimes, it operates behind a computer screen. And sometimes, the most profound forms of violence against Black Americans are financial.

My name is Derrick Jones. I am a 63-year-old Black senior citizen. And my experience with Carl Black Chevrolet Buick GMC Kennesaw, GM Financial, and the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office has forced me to ask a difficult question: Do Black financial lives matter? Does Black wealth matter? Does the dignity of a Black elder matter to the institutions in Cobb County and in America?

The Privilege of the Benefit of the Doubt

In America, justice operates on a dual track. When a Black individual is accused of a crime, the system moves with terrifying speed. There is an immediate presumption of guilt. There is little to no benefit of doubt.

But what happens when a majority-white-owned corporate entity is accused of a felony against a Black citizen? What happens when a 63-year-old Black man provides undeniable digital proof that a $34,856 auto contract was electronically forged around 33 minutes after he drove off the dealership lot?

Case #26-01870 gives us the answer: The system protects its own.

When presented with the forensic server metadata—a 4:56 PM down payment receipt against a 5:33 PM digital signature timestamp—the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office did not launch a raid. They did not confiscate the dealership's servers. They did not arrest the finance manager.

Instead, an investigator abruptly closed the case, officially claiming they "lacked digital evidence." It was only through a formal Open Records Request that we discovered the truth: the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office had the digital evidence of the forgery in their files the entire time. They possessed the exact documents they claimed did not exist.

The Good Ole Boy System at Work

We must call this what it is: a race-based cover-up fueled by the "Good Ole Boy" network.

If a Black man walked into Carl Black Kennesaw, stole $34,856, and forged a corporate executive's signature, he would be in handcuffs before midnight. The police would not lose his file. The evidence would not mysteriously disappear.

Yet, when Carl Black Kennesaw allegedly commits identity theft against a Black elder, the local authorities act as a private security shield for the corporation. They operate under the deeply offensive assumption that an older Black man will simply lack the digital literacy, the resources, or the stamina to audit their server logs and fight back.

Financial Violence is Systemic Violence

The devastating impact of this alleged crime extends beyond the dealership lot. GM Financial continues to enforce this fraudulent debt, actively destroying my credit score and holding my financial future hostage over a contract that the math proves I could not have signed.

This is white-collar violence. Historically, Black Americans have been systematically targeted by predatory lending, redlining, and financial exploitation. When a major dealership allegedly uses an unauthorized digital signature to bind a Black senior citizen to high-interest debt, and the local police actively suppress the evidence, they are participating in a long, dark history of stripping wealth from Black communities.

The Demand for Federal Intervention

The silence from Carl Black of Kennesaw is deafening. It has been weeks since the undeniable timestamped evidence was published here on DerrickJustice.com, and they have offered no explanation for the 33-minute impossibility.

They remain silent because they believe their proximity to local power makes them untouchable. They believe that in Cobb County, a Black man’s demand for justice will eventually fade away.

I refuse to fade away.

Local systems cannot be trusted to police the powerful corporations that fund their tax base. Therefore, I am calling on the Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to immediately audit the practices of Carl Black Kennesaw, GM Financial, and the investigative conduct of the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.

Until corporate entities are held to the same legal standard as the Black citizens they serve, the promise of equal justice remains broken.

My identity was stolen. My evidence was buried. But my voice will not be silenced. Not On My WATCH. ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿 Black Lives Matter. ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿 Justice For Derrick Jones. ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿

When the local network utilizes law enforcement as a private shield for corporate crime, citizens must demand federal oversight. We are calling for an immediate DOJ civil rights investigation into Cobb County.
